Individual Counseling
Individual counseling is a structured, goal-oriented work based on the trust relationship between the client and the psychotherapist, which is carried out one-to-one between the client and the counselor, involving processes such as psychological evaluation and the use of psychotherapeutic interventions.
The aim of the counseling process is to increase the psychological well-being of the individual. The counseling process also provides individuals with the opportunity to progress in a wide variety of subjects such as problem solving skills, relationship and communication skills, social skills, and emotion regulation skills.
There is not a single psychotherapy method. There are many psychotherapy theories and applications whose effects are tested via scientific measures. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Schema Therapy and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Therapy could be given as an example of these scientific methods which provide faster and more successful outcomes.
